BENEFITS TARGETING THOSE IMPACTED BY SUBSTANCE ABUSE.
By providing these services, residents will be equipped to live successful, substance-free lives while becoming productive residents in the community.
This is especially crucial for a newly recovering addict. A stable environment will be able to keep any drug or alcohol user away from any kind of temptations while providing a safe and secure environment for them to prosper and grow. Stability is essential to maintain continued recovery.
Our staff and volunteers consist of Christian women that are passionate about loving the residents back to life. They are purposeful about teaching boundaries and providing effective life skills for the residents to be able to live productive lives in a family setting as well as in their community.
How to overcome addiction, relapse prevention, and more is another benefit that helps residents to realize there is a way to live a life without drugs or alcohol. Learning the proper tools, how to use them and applying those tools to every situation is key to an addict trying to recover.
Our center houses other women also trying to overcome addiction. This means that by being surrounded by other women going through the same things, peer support can help during this stage of recovery, and at the same time, they are able to give and take advice.
Every resident will attend group and one-on-one sessions, 12-step counseling, life skill classes, Bible Studies, fitness, recovery meetings and church services. Residents are challenged daily with a regimented schedule, chores, and responsibilities to create teamwork in the household.
This policy ensures that no one is allowed to bring drugs or alcohol into the center. The temptation of a substance will often trigger a resident, therefore, affecting their progress in whatever phase they may be walking through. Because no one should be tempted, this policy is strictly enforced.
